On April 23rd and 24th, 53 chorus members, plus many spouses, former members and friends will pile into a couple dozen vehicles for the drive to Syracuse, NY for Region 16's annual convention. This exciting long weekend will find chorus members: in several flat-floor rehearsals (no risers until they hit the contest stage); singing with hundreds of others on the steps of Onondaga County courthouse at the mass sing; cheering on their very own It Takes Thyme in the quartet contest; in a visually-stimulating silent rehearsal (no sound - all choreo); and hanging out with each other, relaxing, eating, shopping, and enjoying their time together.

And, of course, they'll be giving their best possible performance on stage - at 2:10 p.m. - as Contestant #18 in the chorus contest. They'll be singing their new ballad, If I Give My Heart to You, under the direction of Joan Borden, in her very first appearance as a director on the contest stage! They will complete the package, under the direction of Pat Vipond, with their uptune, How Many Hearts Have You Broken. Six minutes to command the stage, with character, attitude, and vocal brilliance!
